This summer, Virginia backyard wedding will always be so special to me. Chad and Shaylee decided on the most meaningful place for their wedding day. If you’re planning your Virginia wedding day and unsure where to have it, have you considered somewhere meaningful to you? Such as the place you spent your childhood and grew up at?
This country, farmland that Shaylee grew up on is more than her childhood home. It’s also the same land that Chad proposed on, and the land they will someday raise a family of their own on. This Virginia backyard wedding in the heat of the summer in August had so much intentionality behind it.
After 7 long years of being together, they were most excited to start this new adventure of being married and living together. Shaylee talked about how she couldn’t wait to come home to her new husband every day in their home in Floyd, Virginia and start their lives together.
As an experienced Virginia wedding photographer, Chad and Shaylee’s wedding still stands out to me because of how centered it was around their family. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot at several venues, but an intentional backyard wedding will always be one of my favorite ways to celebrate your love. When planning your own wedding, my biggest tip is to consider what is most important to you and to find a way to incorporate that into your day.
