Getting Ready

The Mill at Fine Creek has a light and airy salon style getting ready room and also the Miller’s Cottage, allowing getting ready separately a breeze. Reese and Dillon got ready with their own wedding party then opted for a first look down at the stone ruins. They booked a 10 hour photography package so they were finishing getting ready around 12:30 PM. The girls enjoyed champagne in their getting ready suite in their chic matching PJs. Virginia Bridal did a phenomenal job on the ladies hair and makeup, I mean have you seen a more beautiful bridal party?!

First Looks at the Mill at Fine Creek

Reese did a first look with her father in front of the main building which creates a beautiful backdrop. After that, Reese and Dillon chose to do a first look at the stone ruins to ease their nerves before their ceremony. They wrote personal vows to share by themselves and it was the sweetest intimate moment together.

Ceremony

With a larger guest list of 170, Reese and Dillon held their ceremony at the gardens beside the stone ruins. Even though it was November, the weather could not have been more beautiful and the florals by Cathy Boggess created a whimsy, dreamy atmosphere. Their ceremony was at 3PM, about 2 hours before sunset which is the perfect time!

After Ceremony Portraits

After their ceremony, we snuck away to the river to soak up the last bit of the sunset. The Mill at Fine Creek has so many beautiful backdrops for photos especially if you’re the adventurous type!

Reception

This was by far one of my favorite receptions to date! My best tip for a fun reception is to get on the dance floor yourselves! The chefs at the Mill at Fine Creek will whip up delicious food for you. My favorite part of their reception was the Pennsylvania Cookie Bar! The guests brought their favorite cookies for everyone to try and the couple had to-go bags made for guests to take their goodies home.
