Some of these venues are located just a short drive outside of Roanoke but well worth the trip.
Old Mill Farm
Old Mill Farm is one of my favorite wedding venues in Roanoke, Virginia. I really love the wisteria ceremony arbor surrounded for a whimsy atmosphere in the spring and summer months. With a mix of elegance and rustic charm, the beautiful open air white barn creates the perfect back drop for your reception. Balcony Downs Venue & Retreat
Another incredible option for your Roanoke wedding is Balcony Downs. This historic 1776 estate and romantic venue is in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can book the estate for the entire weekend Friday – Sunday making it the perfect location to getaway and soak in every moment for your wedding. - Guest Capacity: Can accommodate up to ~275 seated guests.
- All-Weekend Access: Exclusive use of the entire estate from Friday at 3 pm through Sunday at 11 am, including rehearsal dinner use and extended setup time
Virginia Mountain Vineyards
If you’re looking to get married in the spring or summer, Virginia Mountain Vineyards is a great option! Say your vows amongst the grapevines under the beautiful chapel overlooking the mountains. The property also has a large stone patio covered by a white tent with elegant chandeliers for your reception.

- Guest Capacity: Up to ~250 seated guests
Eco-Village
The venue’s centerpiece is a beautifully crafted timber-framed event center nestled within 75 acres of woods, farm fields, and gardens. This wedding venue near Roanoke provides a serene and natural backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. Eco-Village is located in Floyd, Virginia which is about an hour drive from Roanoke.
- Starting Cost: Approximately $2,400–$5,150+ depending on package and event length (1–3 day options available).
- Guest Capacity: Up to ~200 guests indoors and outdoors combined
Eastern Divide Brewing Company
If you’re looking for a more unique wedding venue near Roanoke, Virginia – look no further than Eastern Divide Brewing Company. The venue is situated on top of the hill with a surrounding view of the Southwest Virginia mountains. The large glass windows create such beautiful natural light inside the venue and the greenery adds an ambient and warm setting. If you’re looking for a modern and industrial vibe, definitely check this place out!
The 84 Events
Situated on 84 acres of farm land in Floyd, Virginia sits this renovated 1946 dairy barn that is perfect for couples looking for a rustic wedding feel. The best part of this venue is the on-site donkeys that makes for fun photos! This is another venue outside of Roanoke but well worth the drive.

Selah Springs
Selah Springs is located in Riner, about 45 minutes outside of Roanoke. The venue includes rolling hills and open fields to take stunning golden hour portraits in. You can’t beat the beautiful and secluded spot by the pond for your intimate wedding ceremony.
Taubman Museum
The Taubman Museum of Art in downtown Roanoke offers a contemporary and sophisticated setting for weddings. Additionally, guests have the opportunity to explore the museum’s galleries, adding an extra layer of cultural enrichment to the celebration.
On the Glen
On The Glen, located on Glenburn Farms is a picturesque Roanoke wedding venue that offers breathtaking mountain views and a serene countryside setting. The venue features both indoor and outdoor spaces, including a grand ballroom, a spacious covered pavilion, and a charming garden ceremony site, providing couples with versatile options for their special day.
House Mountain Inn Lodge
House Mountain Inn Lodge and the Irvin Estate is located in the Shenandoah Valley near Lexington, Virginia. With panoramic mountain views and lavish gardens, you can’t beat this venue for your celebration. The venue features the Robert E. Lee Ballroom—a 3,200-square-foot space characterized by white pine log walls, a soaring thirty-foot post-and-beam ceiling, and a grand stone fireplace.
Bernard’s Landing
Bernard’s Landing, nestled on a 70-acre private waterfront community at Smith Mountain Lake is the venue for those looking to slow down by the lake for their wedding. The venue features multiple ceremony spaces, including the Bernard House & Pavilion, the Highlands Event Center with its glass atrium and newly remodeled deck, and a charming pergola overlooking Sailor’s Cove.
Buckeye Farm
Sitting on 30 acres in Newport, Virginia – about an hour away from Roanoke – this venue offers a charming pavilion and barn for couples looking for a rustic option. The creek running through the property offers a serene and relaxing getaway.
Cottontail Weddings & Events
Cottontail Wedding & Events is a fit for those looking for a modern and industrial vibe. Situated in Danville, Virginia in the historic River District this venue is a beautifully renovated 18th-century tobacco warehouse. Featuring exposed brick walls, timber supports, and modern crystal chandeliers, this venue creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Avenel House
The Avenel House nestled in Bedford, Virginia is a timeless and sophisticated option for your Roanoke wedding venue. Unique to Avenel are the on-site Bridal Suite and Groom’s Quarters, providing intimate spaces for your getting ready portraits.
