Greenwood Oaks Venue

When I first shot at this wedding venue in East Tennessee, it was still fairly new. Since then, the owners have really made this property magical. Every detail is thoughtfully designed and you can really feel how much they care about their couples. From wildflower meadows and romantic fairy lights woven through century-old oak trees to a serene pond – there are endless options for your ceremony location. Some of my favorite aspects of this venue include the bright and airy salon getting ready room, the sweeping mountain views, and their wildflower garden that is best seen in May through September. I would say this is one of the best outdoor wedding venues in East Tennessee. Some important details about Greenwood Oaks Venue:

  • Venue rental & cost: Peak season $8,500 – $9,500. Off season $5,500 – $6,500.

Sugar Hollow Retreat

This all-inclusive wedding venue is perfect for the outdoorsy couple that wants to have the views but not the stress. The mountain views are unreal and make for stunning portraits at any point in the day, but especially sunset. With over 300 acres, you’re booking a whole wedding experience for the weekend.

Built around a dramatic rock quarry and pond with a cascading 70-foot waterfall as a backdrop, this East Tennessee wedding venue is something out of a movie. I love how unique this wedding venue is with its multiple getting ready spaces called the Treehouse, Hobbit House, and Greek Cottage. Waterstone Venue is thoughtfully designed and perfect for the couple looking for something out of the ordinary.

The Lake House

Another waterfront option is The Lake House – a wedding venue situated on Boone Lake in Piney Flats, Tennessee. Blackberry Weddings

The Loyston at Coppertop

Another destination-style wedding venue in East Tennessee, The Loyston offers peaceful waterside views and panoramic mountain views. The venue offers venue-only rental and all-inclusive packages that help simplify planning. The property even offers on-site rental accommodations nearby for your party or guests to enjoy the lake and mountain lifestyle throughout your celebration, perfect for making it a full wedding weekend.

*New venue alert! This gorgeous venue just opened at the beginning of 2026 and it’s definitely worth checking out! Ayoka Ranch is nestled on 58 acres on the countryside of Tennessee, this venue brings a peaceful setting with it’s mountain views and 2 ponds. I am super excited for couples to get married at this one of a kind venue!

The Estate at Sweetwater Creek

This southern estate sits on the rolling hills of Tennessee surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains. I love the getting ready suites for beautiful portraits to start your wedding day. The Estate at Sweetwater Creek is a great option for those looking for a beautifully natural lit venue that offers vistas all around.
